Fantastic session from Stewart and Jill today on 5S. I am re-energized to 5S something in my home or workstation, just start small! What were some of your key-take aways from the session?

We had a great discussion with Ryan McCormack this afternoon. One key take-away for me was the concept of the "Decision-Sprint", I will keep an eye on how that experiment is going. What did you learn?

For those who attended the May session, or watched the video, what did you learn from the session? I had an opportunity to use a simplified version of my company's work flow to help demonstrate the material. I was able to see where I could start. This presentation built off of the exercise Jim took us through in February and March so I will likely go back to the STATIK workbook Jim provided and work through a smaller scoped example for my company. There are so many tools to help us see where improvements could be made! Have you used the kanban method in your work before? Please share!

Big thank you to Janice Reeves, Lindsay Sanderson and Jill Forrester for presenting the concepts behind the Patient-and Family-Centred Care program. If you were able to attend the session or watch the recording, please share what your key learnings were from the session! For me, once I saw the difference between a business problem versus a customer problem, I can't unsee it!

Tracy O'Rourke created a super fun music video parody about Lean Tools. If you want to put a smile to your face, get a little movement in, please watch this video. Also, share it with other Lean Leaders and Practitioners. Lean is hard and we all need to have a little fun sometimes! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjLFdbiJ_yM

We are so grateful to Jim Bennett for introducing us to STATIK (Systems Thinking Approach to Implementing Kanban) with a 2 part, hands on workshop. The first part (Steps 1-3) was held on Feb 16, 2023 and the second part (Steps 4-6) was held on Mar 16, 2023. Videos of both sessions are available under "Member Content" if you missed out on one or both of those sessions. What did you learn/take away from those sessions? Please share here! I've learned a new way to look at the work of my team which I am excited to dig into more over the next couple of weeks, spend more time going through the workbook and the extra notes Jim provided (also downloadable under "Member content").

Fantastic session from Dave White, introducing the Kanban-method. Having played around a bit with "Kanban boards", I didn't realize how much it entailed! The principles behind the method was key to me. I think there is much more our team can get out of this method to manage our work flows! What were your key take-aways from this session?

Thank you to everyone who attended our latest learning sessions with Amanda Dahl and Stewart Bellamy in May and June! It was a great learning opportunity and an amazing to keep connecting with other Lean Practitioners. If you attended the session, or had a chance to watch the recording, we would love to hear what you learned from the sessions and how you are going to incorporate it into your everyday work.

Thank you to everyone who attended our latest learning session with Dr. Joy Dobson! What an incredible lean journey she's had. It was a great learning opportunity . If you attended the session, we would love to hear what you learned from the session and how you are going to incorporate it into your everyday work. For me, persistence is key, this is "continuous" improvement after all! Just keep at it!

We are looking for ideas for Lean simulations or Games, activities you can complete in-person with no touching and activities that can be completed virtually (we have a virtual facilitation board we can use). What have others tried?
