I really liked the be hard on the process and soft on the people too. I always say it is about the process not the people, but I think I like the way this is stated better!

Every time I hear Karyn speak I am inspired! This was a great reminder for me as a Leader how much of an impact we have on people's lives. The last year and a half has been hard on anyone and if there was anytime to show a bit more kindness in our lives it is now.

I think one of the things that stuck with me is that engaged leaders are not talking about getting wet. They are soaked. This was a great reminder for me as a leader to make sure that I am showing the team I am soaked!!

There were so many great learnings from the session last week! Ryan sharing his experience with challenging his assumptions has really made me think about some of the assumptions I hold myself (and I know so many other Lean Practitioners do too!) My aha moment was around going to the gemba, and it not just being about 'seeing' the work, but getting a better understanding of it. That we may not all see the same thing and it isn't about getting others to see what you see, but trying to understand what they see too.

Is there any specific lean concept you are trying to teach? I know one that I have found to be a fun and useful exercise is the Standard Pig.
